My practice is devoted exclusively to Criminal Defense, specializing in DUI.  In fact, I have handled thousands of these cases over my 25+ years as a laywer, as well as thousands of Administrative Per Se hearings with the Department of Motor Vehicles.  I have been certified on all the equipment used by SF Bay Area law enforcement (Draeger AlcoTest, PAS, and EPAS devices), as well as being certified in how to administer the same NHTSA Field Sobriety Tests as law enforcement officers use.  I have even helped train other attorneys in DUI defense.

In 1972, my father, Allan Gorelick, left the Alameda Co. Public Defenders Office to enter private practice in Hayward as a Criminal Defense Attorney.  When I became a lawyer in 1982, I joined my father and we worked together until he retired in 2008.  Together, we were voted "Best Attorney" by the readers of the Alameda Newspaper Group for SIX years in a row!
